Lindsay Komlanc

Lindsay Komlanc is the Senior Assistant Vice President for Strategic Issues Management with University Communications at The Ohio State University. In this role, she is responsible for providing oversight and direction for university-wide issues of reputational significance. Komlanc assembles cross-functional communications teams and leads planning and implementation efforts to create integrated communications strategies and positive approaches to promoting institutional goals and objectives. She also serves as part of the core response team for emergency and crisis communications. Komlanc joined Ohio State in 2012 as the Director of Marketing and Communications for The Office of Administration and Planning, leading the strategic marketing and communications efforts focusing on facilities, transportation, construction, real estate and public safety. Focusing the majority of her career on public service, Komlanc also served as the communications director and media relations director at the Ohio Department of Public Safety. Before joining the Department of Public Safety in 2007, Komlanc began her career with the Ohio Department of Transportation, serving in various roles from coordinating media and public outreach in central Ohio to leading all communications for the statewide central communications office. A Pittsburgh, PA native, Komlanc came to Ohio to attend Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and began service with the state of Ohio upon graduation. She currently resides in Grandview, Ohio with her husband and dog.
